Marketing & Communications Intern
Marketing & Communications Intern
Main Library & Remote / Full-Time, 16-Week Contract / 35 hours/week
We’re looking for a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our team and support a variety of marketing and communications projects. The ideal candidate is curious, collaborative, and excited about creating engaging content across print, digital, social media, web, and internal training platforms. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience in marketing, content creation, and digital learning while contributing to meaningful projects that support both staff and the community. What You’ll Do
- Promote library programs, services and resources in both print and digital communications.
- Support key projects including transferring existing training content into engaging virtual learning modules or videos to support internal staff training.
- Create engaging content for social media, our blog, website and other platforms.
- Evaluate and make recommendations to better target specified demographics across various platforms.
What We’re Looking For
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in communications, marketing, advertising, or a related field.
- Strong familiarity and experience with social media, content creation, and graphic design in a marketing-related capacity.
- Experience or interest in creating digital learning content, instructional videos, presentations, or other multimedia resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and organizational stakeholders.
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize information clearly.
- Assets include experience with Google Analytics, WordPress, Canva, accessibility tools, and video editing software.
Schedule:
This contract position will run from September – December, 2026. Schedule will be day shifts from Monday to Friday with a combination of remote and in-office work.
Salary/Wage/Benefits
The hourly wage is $29.35.
